A couple of points : 485 is your property. Its a grey area whether to inform USCIS or not, some advocate it as its a proof and file AC21 and some have different opinion its a personal choice. Regarding using AP I myself dont see an issue. Rest of all are supporting dox. Nice to have supporting documents.

OK, Im ready to help. I have already done some initial research and here is what Ive come up with.

District 8: Kevin Brady (R)
District 9: Al Green

Folks,
Got a question on surrendering I-94 when leaving USA. Do we just need to surrender the one issued in POE when coming to USA, or we need to surrender the I-94 that came with I-797 approval notice as well. I'm getting different opinion from different folks, Some say surrender only the White one issued in POE, few say surrender the one attached to I-797 approval notice as well. One friend of my mine, was asked to show the part attached to I-797 when he went for visa stamping and luckily he surrendered only the white one issued in POE and he did not surrender the one attached to I-797, so he had it with him.
Folks, please share your experience on this.

A friend of mine has asked me to join in starting an IT training business in a densely populated Indian business area (California). The thought process is that there may be many people who have been laid off and may be wanting to learn new technologies. There are no gotchas of luring students for H1/GC etc. The primary reason is that we are experts in Microsoft technologies and we just want to impart training in this domain. However, in these hard economic times few friends have asked us to rethink about this proposition. There are 1 or 2 training institutes around, but we feel we have edge over others in few ways. And we are not eying for a big market share.
Further to it, we want to launch other products once the training is established.we were just looking for a platform. We feel the training will give us that platform.
Unlike other training organizations who propose free training and then H1/GC etc, we just intend to impart training and that's it no strings attached.
Plain simple if you could give a honest opinion on this business proposition that would be great. Proposing this topic to analyze argue and know the others perspective.
This is just to solicit feedback and analyze a startup option and please do not jump guns on saying that this is going to be a bodyshopping company then will recruit H1 etc.

My lawyer is saying whatever exp. you will give, you should have originals of that. I don't have much hold of my lawyer and he is not suggesting whether I should use new experience than what I used in my first labor.

I have recently recieved approval for I-140. With no surprise, employer denies to share the copy. I am planning to file FOIA to get the copy. Questions I have :
1. Can I file for FOIA even if my I-485 is not filed?
2. Reason to ask 1. is, Form G-639 requires Alien Registration Number (A#) which I believe, one can get only after filing I-485. Please correct me if I am wrong.
3. If I am right, Can I file FOIA without Alien#?

How long does it takes to get any thing back on FOIA request. I send over the documents a month back, havent heard anything back. Not even my position in the queue. How long does it takes?

Never seen any one asked for EVL for derivative at POE. Especially on AP. So you should be fine on that front. But You need to realize that you need to find a same / similar employment ASAP.
