A slightly off topic - but how did you know that your 485 was approved ?
Can you tell us in detail how you got this information about your case ? I want to know if mine is approved or not.

kaisersose, is it mandatory for the beneficiary to sign the approved labor before attaching it to the I140 application ?
According to the legal assistant:
Traditional Labor:
Incase of substitution the beneficiary has to sign the approved labor. Otherwise it is not required.

The new host is actually Steves brother :) They kind of look alike as well.
But yeah, you are right.... Steve was much better. My sister used to work at a day care center where one of her kids was like a 2nd cousin to that guy or something like that. She said Steve was forced to wear the long sleeve shirt because his arms are covered with tattoos. Just more useless facts.

Hi All,
We are planning to goto canada for our H1 visa extension (actually i changed my job to new employer also). My H1 visa expires on Sept 31st 2007.
We are planning to go in August 2007 itself.
Lets say if our h1 extension is rejected or some issue what will be our status?
Can we come back to US and plan for our india travel or we have to leave to india from there itself?
I heard that mexico has different rules?

and if you come back to US within 30 days.
Donot give you I-94 when you leave US.
If your visa is rejected in canada, you cant re-enter US.

why are we assuming that the parents are illegals?? as far as I know, it has not been reported anywhere in the media that the parents were here illegally. if it has, please post relevant links.
as for being a legal resident, do the rules state that you need to be a legal resident for immigration benefits or tax benefits?
For IRS purposes, 180 days or more on a valid non immig. worker status and you are a legal resident.....

LEGAL/ILLEGAL terms are borrowed from the immigration law realm and I believe that it was the intent of the contest rules. I also agree with the point, that TRU were just following the rules and they should not have changed their stance on the matter.

Are the following options correct for :
1. Manner of Last Entry into the U.S.: "DA:ADVANCE PAROLE (DISTRICT AUTH)"
Same for
2. Current Immigration Status:"DA:ADVANCE PAROLE (DISTRICT AUTH)"
and for Eligibility Status: "(c)(9) Filed I-485"

May be I wasnt clear in my query. Here is the situation:
I am on 8th yr H1B extension. Got my LC approved, got EAD, finger printing done. So now just waiting for 485 to be approved. And if I lose my job to a layoff.....what are my options?
So an H1B transfer will still work out in my case?

I use the rectangle marquee tool. I guess it all depends on personal preference. If you use the rectangle shape tool you will have to right click on the layer and hit "Rasterize Layer" to be able to edit the object.
If you use the marquee tool you just have to fill it with paint and everything is set.
Not to mention, if you use the shape tool, it automatically creates the shape on a new layer, but if you use the marquee tool, your fill color will end up on the layer you currently have selected.

u can use AC21 in 2 ways.
one -change employer with ur H1b
two -change employer with EAD if you have one.
EAD is not necessary for AC21. EAD is a way not to transfer H1b and change employer,but you will need to renew this every year, EAD is temp green card while on H1 status.
If you pass 180 days after 485 filing , it will remain valid if your 140 is approved and is not revoked before 180 days from 485 filing.
- Is it safe to transfer H1 (after 180days) without AC21?
- How will it affect my 485?

-What are the docs to be collected from old employer?
-Can I retail same lawyer for GC while H1 is taken care by new company lawyer?
